Packing a mild punch from onions and a touch of red pepper, Curtido is a fermented condiment from El Salvador. Besides tasting great as a side it brings a unique, tangy flavor as a topping for sandwiches, wraps, or salads. Try it on a Rueben or a brat for a taste beyond what ordinary sauerkraut delivers! We also like to use it with chips as a variation on salsa.
